Up to $95K plus bonus

The Lead Consultant serves as the lead subject matter expert for data management solutions, including backup and replication technologies. In some instances, the Lead Consultant can be assigned the role of overall engagement manager. The Lead Consultant will contribute to the success of the practice area through personal billable utilization, service delivery compliance, continued growth and knowledge in data backup, restoration and replication technologies, and outstanding customer satisfaction.

The Lead Consultant will also support the development and maintenance of professional service offerings, such as data backup and recovery assessments and/or data replication designs, and support the practice’s thought leadership initiatives (e.g., lead or participate in knowledge teams; develop white papers; etc.).

Responsibilities include:
-demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of data centre infrastructure standards, design and practices
-demonstrating an exceptional understanding of data backup and replication technologies, concepts and practices
-performing all engagements with the highest degree of professionalism, customer service and quality
-meeting and exceeding billable utilization targets
-adhering to and enhancing service methodologies and best practices that result in high customer satisfaction and a reference friendly client base
-cultivating additional opportunities within the account that result in add-on sales

Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent; Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; graduate degree preferred
-Minimum 6 years professional experience
-Minimum 2 years direct consulting experience
-Minimum 3 year experience in data backup, recovery and/or replication technologies
-Solid project management experience a plus
-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
-Extensive knowledge of data management concepts, technologies and architecture
-Advanced knowledge of backup and recovery software such as Veritas, Legato, and TSM
-Knowledge of clustering technologies and server/storage virtualization technologies
-Strong understanding of replication and vaulting technologies (SRDF, Global Mirror) and
-Strong understanding of SAN technologies, including server component, switch component and storage component
-Have been involved, managed or participated at a senior level in a Data centre move or migration.
-Strong understanding of NAS technologies (such as NETAPP)
-Extensive experience with data center infrastructure design standards and best practices
-Strong knowledge of data center environmental standards and “Green IT” initiatives
-Strong experience coordinating migrations with third party vendors
-Demonstrated success delivering recommendations and presentations to senior level management
-Demonstrated consulting proficiency at the senior consulting level
-Experience speaking to customers in support of consulting sales activities
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with Engagements Managers
-Outstanding analytical skills (e.g., must be able to analyze unique customer environments and suggest appropriate disaster recovery solutions)
-Advanced communications skills both written and verbal
-Exceptional decision making and problem solving skills
-Exceptional personal management, planning and organizational skills
-Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills
