C# Server Side Architect - Chicago, IL

Up to $225K

Responsibilities:
-Lead the company’s transition from C++/MFC to C#/.NET Graphic User Interface (GUI) applications and libraries.
-Provide direction to development teams to explore the capabilities of Microsoft’s .NET platform.
-Set standards for the development and deployment of new applications, such as WPF applications, web applications and web services.
-Assist in the continued design, development and maintenance of internal core libraries and applications which are built in C++ and C#.
-Provide guidance and overview to development teams regarding complex debugging problems, use of software tools, understanding of internal systems, frameworks and libraries and adherence to company and enterprise standards.
-Review and evaluate new software development technologies, third party software and other development research and development activities while setting the enterprise standards.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in full life cycle software development.
-Must have extensive experience in Design and Architecture in C#.
-Must have extensive experience in development tools, languages and frameworks in Windows such as: C#, C++, VC++, STL, MFC, ATL, Win32 API, COM/DCOM, and .NET.
-At least 5 years of professional experience developing client server applications using 3 tier architecture.
-Advanced debugging capability to debug multi-threaded applications/servers using tools such as Windbg.
-Familiarity with C++ in Linux environment is preferable but not a must.
