Scope of Position:
-The successful candidate will perform storage implementations, performance analysis and optimization, storage systems monitoring, problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation.
-Establish close working relationships with Storage Engineering (Tier-3), local hosting (Tier-1), Customer Service, and Project Management.
-Provide world class customer service.

Basic Function:
-To provide senior level Tier-2 support for managed service/storage offering.
-To ensure service availability & reliability of storage products.
-To ensure new technologies are adequately tested and integrated within Systems Services.
-To ensure client satisfaction with services provided through Systems Services.

Responsibilities:
-Monitor daily health of Storage Arrays and SAN Switches.
-Install, maintain, and support Storage Arrays and SAN Switches.
-React and respond to day-to-day problems and changes as they relate to storage.
-Administration, including but not limited to: Array Group Configuration, LUN Creation and Host Connectivity, Tape Library and Volume Management, Customer Migrations, and SAN Integration.
-Develop and maintain departmental processes and documentation.
-Manage ticket queue for Problem Management, Change Management Tasks, and Customer Requests.
-Continually research new industry trends in storage.
-Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements.
-Provide immediate escalation of critical client problems that may become serious service delivery issues or may be reported to executive management.
- Train/mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
-Maintain current knowledge of new operating systems, hardware, software and tools.
-Provide regular management updates on advantages and potential opportunities for new technologies and automation.
-Assist Storage Engineering (Tier 3) with testing & implementation of new technologies and /or services including methods, policies and procedures for installation, management, monitoring and support.
-Training on new technologies.
-Storage test lab development.
-Provide sales support as directed.

Qualifications:
-College degreed preferred BA or BS in relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent that includes appropriate training courses.
-8 to 10 years experience providing storage administration services to customers.
-Experience with installation, maintenance, and general support of EMC Clariion/Symmetrix Arrays and Brocade/McData Switches.
-Knowledge of IBM, SUN, Hitachi, 3-Par, Network Appliance, or Cisco a plus.
-Demonstrated in depth knowledge of job specific storage technology (SAN Topologies, SAN Switching, Disk Array Management, LUN Presentation, etc).
-Knowledge of replication technologies (SRDF, Mirror View, Global Mirror, or True Copy) a plus.
-Extensive problem-solving skills for debugging storage arrays, SAN switches, operating systems, and network issues.
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience for reviewing and recommending technical solutions for internal and client infrastructure.
-Experience providing services with a data center outsourcer, managed service provider, or web hosting business.
-Ability to mentor junior storage engineers.
- Experience dealing with IT audits, including ISO.
-Understanding of Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
-Understanding of scripting languages (Perl, Bash, VBscript, etc) a plus.
-Understanding of SNMP/MIB configuration for monitoring.
-Understanding of data center infrastructure technologies.
-Understanding of network technologies.
-Excellent written and verbal skills.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-Ability to participate in off-hours and weekend support.
-Ability to effectively deal with change.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting workloads.
-Team player, can lead or follow as needed.

Preferred Requirements:
-Experience with financial industry IS/IT requirements for security & business continuity.
-Previous experience with SAN Replication technologies (SRDF, Mirror View, Global Mirror, and True Copy)
-Previous experience with IBM, SUN, Hitachi, 3-Par, Network Appliance, or Cisco a plus.
-Experience providing services with a data center outsourcer, managed service provider, or web hosting business.
-Experience developing, documenting and socializing systems or business management processes.
-Experience with ISO 2001, TQM or other Industry Standard process management solutions.
