Engagement Manager - Data Center / Information
Technology Consulting
Up to $113,000 + bonus
Responsible for overseeing and managing Data
Center / Information Technology consulting engagements
focusing on project delivery success factors:
profitability, resources utilization, on-time,
on-budget, and client satisfaction. Responsible
for building and identifying additional engagement
opportunities by fostering and expanding client
relationships. She/he is also responsible for
driving profitable revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
-Delivering consulting services on time, on
budget, with focus on attaining high client
satisfaction
-Prepare fully developed project plans, resource
requirements, schedules, and project baselines
from Statements of Work (SOWs).
-Directing delivery team leaders, developing
and managing project/program schedules, scope
and budgets (including project P&Ls)
-Provide accurate and timely project status,
and ensure project team is accurately recording
project time and forecasts into ChangePoint
-Comply with established service methodologies,
and Project Management methodology, for engagement
delivery
-Ensure high customer satisfaction score for
all projects
-Owning a portfolio of engagements, driving
overall strategy and execution
-Assume Financial Accountability for your project
portfolio (Revenue Generation, Forecasting,
and Profitability)
-Managing resource allocation and utilizations
-Identifying and mitigating project/program
risks
-Addressing operational issues related to specific
engagements, including expenses, staffing, utilization
management, billings etc.
-Building strong relationships within client
organizations which are referencable and a provide
repeat “add on” business, through
quality work and thought leadership
-Leading client meetings with executive level
personnel; creating and delivering persuasive
presentations
-Managing multiple projects as one cohesive
client program
-Managing client expectations and communications
flow as it relates to production and internal
project teams; negotiating and resolving high
level client issues
-Identifying decision makers in and influencers
within a complex client organizational structure
-Collaborating closely with the account team
in identifying additional revenue opportunities
-Contributing to development and enhancement
of practice area, industry, and /or technology
knowledge teams
-Evaluating and mentoring project team members
on a regular basis
-Providing executive level sales support for
strategic clients and prospects to increase
demand for higher value, programmatic consulting
services
-Support sales activities, including executive-level
C-suite and large group presentations.
Qualifications:
-Undergraduate degree required in Information
Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or
an Information Security related field preferred
but will consider applicants with equivalent
work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
-Project Management (PMP) certification highly
preferred
-Technical Certifications preferred: SNIA, Certified
DC Professional, CCNA, VCP
-Minimum of five (5) years of project management
experience in a similar role
-Knowledge of data center infrastructure (power,
cooling, hardware etc.), storage, as well as
IT optimization trends like Virtualization and
Cloud computing a must
-Strong Data Center facilities experience in
performing assessment, optimization and consolidation
-Strong project management skills with ability
to coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously
and prioritize demands
-Strong customer relationship management skills,
focused on long-term relationships with repeat
customer business, serving as a trusted advisor
-Exceptional organizational capabilities and
experience leading both people and projects
in a Consulting environment
-Strong drive to initiate action and achieving
results
-Demonstrated team development skills
-Strong analytical skills and project financial/accounting
capabilities
-Experience working with sales professionals
and providing sales support in a team environment
-Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills with ability to convey
information to internal and external customers
in a clear, focused and concise manner
-Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
-Excellent decision making and problem solving
skills
-Experience in public speaking including presentations
to senior executives and large groups
Employment is contingent upon successful completion
of the background investigation and pre-employment
drug screen.
