Solutions Engineer Sr - Pre-sales

$90-$105K + comp plan

*The first 4-6 months will require some travel to the East Coast and various locations in the Mid-West followed by ongoing travel up to 50%.*

Responsibilities:
-Provide presales support in the assigned region to sales staff for managed hosting, data center out-sourcing, and professional consulting services engagements.
-Deliver Technical presentations of service offerings to new and existing Customers.
-Gather technical information on the customers IT environment to include but not limited to: Data Center Operations, Systems, Networking Infrastructure, Backup processes, applications, User access, and Business unit interdependencies.
-Engage customers to extract critical technical and business drivers that may position Company’s Deliverables.
-Engineer detailed solutions for managed hosting, and professional consulting for customers and prospects.
-Prioritize and manage to the regional sales opportunities and goals.
-Maintain familiarity and adherence to all methods and procedures.
-Consistently manage all Support Requests to a timely and successful completion.
-Ability to provide third level support to other Solution Engineer’s to include assisting with the creation of customized or out of the box solutions.

Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Preferred Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or work equivalence.
-5-7 years of technical services support or pre-sales support experience.
-5-7 years of managed hosting services or networking experience.
-"Creditworthiness" and ability to use a personal credit card for all reimbursable expenses is required
-Familiarity with consulting services practices.
-Excellent PC Skills and common business applications. ( MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
-Detailed knowledge of Information Technology to include Data center infrastructures, data backup and recovery concepts and technologies.

Additional Skills:
-Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in the area of data replication and data mirroring technologies and processes.
-Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in the area of Managed Hosting Services, technologies and concepts.
-Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in the area of networking and telecommunication technologies and concepts.
-Demonstrated knowledge in the area of system components and usage.
-Demonstrated knowledge in the area of Consulting and Technical Services.
