Up to 80% travel.
This position requires extensive consulting
and sales support experience in Data Center
infrastructure consulting, specifically such
areas as Data Center Design, Rationalization
and Optimization, Consolidation Planning and
Management, Virtualization, Storage Optimization,
Cloud Computing, and Data and Application Migration.
The individual must possess strong proven business,
technology and sales acumen.
The Consulting Solutions Architect will provide
sales support of consulting services at new
and existing customers, working closely with
the Sales Team and the Consulting Delivery organization.
The individual will work closely with Regional
Sales Management and Account Executives as well
as their Consulting Delivery colleagues across
North America.
Responsibilities:
-Provide high quality sales support to internal/external
clients, representing Company’s Consulting
as part of an account team, specifically around
Data Center Infrastructure, Storage Optimization,
Virtualization services.
-Gather information from customers to establish
an understanding of the customer’s business
and technology environment, including but not
limited to Data Center operations, storage,
systems, networking infrastructure, backup processes,
applications and interdependencies, and business
interdependencies.
-Using knowledge of customer Critical Business
Issues and Information Security Requirements
and Company’s capabilities, craft solution
design, develop estimates and proposal for consulting
engagements that will meet the customer's needs.
-Assist the account team in preparing sales
support presentations and materials, and contribute
to product development efforts.
-Contribute to knowledge base of service materials
(Statements of Work, Industry specific sample
deliverables, etc)
-Coordinate with consulting delivery resources
to initiate engagements and follow-through to
identify add-on opportunities.
-Work closely with the customers to identify
current and future availability requirements
and develop a Solution Roadmap.
-Demonstrate strong knowledge of all Company’s
service offerings, and how they address individual
customer situations.
-Attend industry events in order to network
with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight
and represent Company in the marketplace.
-Maintain accurate work records and document
all activities performed according to Company’s
standards and operating procedures.
-Prioritize and manage to the regional sales
opportunities and goals.
- Consistently manage Support Requests to a
timely and successful completion.
Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred (Business and Technology
related preferred) but will consider applicants
with equivalent work-related experience with
a minimum educational requirement of a H.S.
Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Experience with Information Security program
design and implementation, with focus on Information
Security Architecture and Program Design, Compliance,
Application and Network Security, PCI, Penetration,
Vulnerability Analysis and Remediation.
-CISSP preferred.
-Proven track record of successful solutions-oriented
consulting services sales; minimum of 4 years
sales / sales support experience.
-Consulting delivery or implementation experience
will be a plus, with a proven track record of
building client relationships.
-Prior experience in Information Availability,
Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and
/ or Data Center Operations will be a plus.
-Willingness and ability to participate in all
aspects of the sales cycle from account planning,
lead generation through proposal development,
negotiations and sales close.
-Demonstrated results include selling consultative
services as well as developing strong relationships.
-A team player who can demonstrate prior success
within a highly collaborative, team-oriented
process within a matrix organization.
-Strong analytical skills (i.e., must be able
to analyze unique customer environment and recommend
appropriate information availability solutions).
-Superior verbal, presentation and written communications
skills, strong leadership qualities, and team
oriented business values are essential.
-Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, and
able to work with a high-degree of autonomy.
- "Creditworthiness" and ability to
use a personal credit card for all reimbursable
expenses is required.
-Proficiency in Windows based applications (WORD,
EXCEL and Power Point) highly preferred.
