Java Developer / Programmer

Up to $80K

Responsibilities:
-Maintaining and upgrading the trading firms in-house messaging infrastructure which is responsible for moving data from core static databases to the various trading systems and processes.
-Development of STP company-wide services using ESB and messaging middleware
-Maintenance and development of monitoring processes and screens to view/audit all messaging traffic.
-Maintenance and development of Global Middle Office Confirm Server and FX Option Trade converter/feed process.
-Act as point of contact for Sybase/SQL questions from other teams as well as provide ongoing analysis and resolution of data related problems within Company’s architecture.

Mandatory Qualifications:
-7+ years of Java GUI/Server Programming
-3+ years of Java Messaging (JMS)
-3+ years of Messaging Queueing Technology (Tibco, MQ Series, etc.)
-Weblogic or TomCat Web Tier experience.
-Extensive knowledge of Spring framework
-7+ years of Sybase RDBMS Platform 12.5.x and higher
-7+ years of Extensive Query Writing as well as DDL and DML object creation
-Unix and Microsoft Operating Systems
-3+ years of Unix Shell Scripting
-Source Control Software (Perforce ideally)
-HTML/JavaScript/XML and Web Page Design
-Fixed Income Trading Principles
-Fixed Income and FX Securities Fundamentals
-General understanding of Customer Relationship and trading accounts
-Highly motivated
-Takes initiative
-Strong Communication skills

Additional preferred qualifications:
-Database Design/Modeling
-FIX protocol
-Crystal Reports
-C, C++, C#
-.NET
-RapidSQL or other SQL Tools
