Salary : 98K to 113K plus comp plan

Responsibilities : The Practice Area Manager, Business Availability, is responsible for managing a team of professionals delivering a suite of Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery consulting services, while also delivering positive growth.

The Practice Area Manager must attract, develop, excite and retain an outstanding group of individuals that, as a team, outperforms the competition.

The Practice Area Manager is expected to develop and maintain a team of individuals that is appropriately sized and qualified within their discipline to deliver consulting engagements under the direction of general engagement management.

The Practice Area Manager’s responsibilities include:
• ensuring that staff meet or exceed their billable targets
• ensuring service delivery efficiency and quality
• successful delivery of consulting engagements measured by: profitability, effective project management (on time, on budget) and resource utilization
• development and enforcement of service methodologies and best practices that result in high customer satisfaction and a reference friendly client base
• cultivating additional opportunities within the account that result in add-on sales

The Practice Area Manager will be expected to support sales activities, including executive level, C-suite, and large group presentations.

The Practice Area Manager is a technical and business consulting professional, contributing to practice development and industry verticals.

Qualifications :
• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required, graduate degree preferred
• Certification in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery (CBCP, BCI, etc.)

Business Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
• Minimum 5 years direct consulting experience
• Minimum 3 years management experience

Specific Skills:
• Experience with risk assessments, impact analysis, continuity planning and program development
• Mastery of information systems availability principles and best practices, general IT concepts, incident response and recovery
• Knowledge of industry best practices and generally accepted information availability principles
• Experience leading both people and projects in a Consulting environment
• Demonstrated team development skills
• Experience working with sales professionals

• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated mastery of consulting at the senior management level
• Exceptional organizational and communications capabilities
• Experience in public speaking including presentations to senior executives and large groups
