Infrastructure Security Analyst
Up to $90K
Responsibilities:
-Contributes to the infrastructure security
architecture by defining, documenting and communicating
the infrastructure security architecture to
various IT and business teams.
-Works directly with other Information Security
Architects in defining and documenting solutions
involving multiple functional areas to ensure
the correct inter-working of the infrastructure
elements that support those functions.
-Acts as a day to day liaison and a first point
of contact with various departments (business
and IT), helping them investigate and troubleshoot
potential security incidents, ensuring that
Information Security policies, standards and
procedures are upheld.
-Works directly with HR and Compliance representatives,
ensuring Compliance with regulatory and HR requirements.
-Helps evaluate project and technical requirements,
and validates the proposed solutions/products
fit with IT Security Architecture and Security
Technology Roadmap
-Documents high level designs for solutions
as required, including definition of interdependencies
and risks.
-Validates the implementation, ensuring that
the delivered solution is consistent with the
agreed architecture and will meet the requirements
-Provides direct operational support in the
design and implementation of information security
projects: Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and
Prevention, Vulnerability Management, AV Infrastructure,
Wireless Security, Content Management, End Point
Security, PKI, Authentication Platforms, Computer
Security Incident Management, etc.
Qualifications:
-Solid relevant IT experience, preferably in
a large blue chip organization, consultancy
or leading software house
-Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and
technologies
-In-depth knowledge of security issues and solutions,
including but not limiting to Intrusion Detection
& Prevention, Vulnerability Assessment and
Management, Wireless Security, End-Point Security,
DDoS Protection, Firewall technologies, VPN
Remote Access Technologies, E-mail and Instant
Messaging Security
-Operational knowledge of network and systems
management and infrastructure monitoring issues
and solutions
-Operating knowledge of core infrastructure
protocols issues and designs (DNS / DHCP / HTTP
/ FTTP / RADIUS / LDAP / Active Directory, etc)
-Operating knowledge of networking technologies
and protocols.
-Operating knowledge of Unix and Microsoft operating
systems
-Experience of complex distributed infrastructure
environments encompassing multiple data centres
and a disparate world-wide user base.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
at ease with communicating with senior colleagues
-Extremely well organized with an ability to
handle and digest large amounts of information
from a variety of sources
-Creativity, has the imagination and inventiveness
to generate new ideas and implement these to
the benefit of the business
-Ability to work at an abstract architectural,
as well as operational level.
-Flexible approach and an ability to operate
effectively with uncertainty and change
-Ability to work well under pressure and meet
tight deadlines
-Takes the initiative and works independently;
is self-motivated and energetic
