Salary: 67K to 82K plus comp plan

The Senior Consultant is responsible for delivering
high quality data replication, archiving and
information availability consulting services,
as part of an engagement team led by an Engagement
Manager. The Senior Consultant works closely
with our clients to analyze their storage and
archiving infrastructure, assess requirements,
recommend strategies and design the optimal
data replication solution.
The Senior Consultant must be knowledgeable
in backup and recovery software (Veritas, Tivoli,
Legato, etc.) and replication technologies (SRDF,
Global Mirror, etc.), as well as networks which
support this technology. The Senior Consultant
will contribute to the success of the Technology
Solutions practice area through personal billable
utilization, service delivery compliance, continued
growth and knowledge in data backup technologies
and solutions, and outstanding customer satisfaction.
The Senior Consultant’s responsibilities
include:
• successful delivery of technical consulting
services, including backup and recovery assessments
and data replication assessments, strategies
and designs
• performing all engagements with the
highest degree of professionalism, customer
service and quality
• meeting and exceeding billable utilization
targets
• adhering to and enhancing service methodologies
and best practices that result in high customer
satisfaction and a reference friendly client
base
• identifying additional opportunities
within the account that result in add-on sales
• contribute to the growth and expertise
of junior-level consultants
The Senior Consultant is a technical and business
professional, contributing to practice development
and industry verticals.
Qualifications : Educational Requirements:
• College Degree preferred but will consider
applicants with equivalent work-related experience
with a minimum educational requirement of a
H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
• Undergraduate degree in Information
Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or
a related field required, graduate degree preferred.
Business Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years professional experience
• Minimum 2 years direct consulting experience
• Minimum 3 year experience in data management,
archiving and/or replication
Specific Skills:
• Experience with backup and recovery
concepts and replication concepts, principles,
design and architecture
• Knowledge of backup and recovery software
such as Veritas, Legato, and TSM
• Knowledge of clustering technologies
and server/storage virtualization technologies
• Strong understanding of replication
technologies, such as EMC SRDF and IBM PPRC/Global
Mirror
• Strong understanding of SAN technologies,
including server component, switch component
and storage component
• Strong understanding of vaulting technologies
(such as eVault)
• Strong understanding of NAS technologies
(such as NETAPP)
Other Skills:
• Advanced analytical skills (e.g., must
be able to analyze unique customer environments
and suggest appropriate disaster recovery solutions)
