Looking for strong developer who can play an
integral role in the pre-sales cycle. Must have
stellar presentation / communication skills.
50% travel.
The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer works with the
sales team to provide support for the functional
and technical aspects of the PRE-SALES cycle,
including: discovery sessions and requirements
gathering; configuring, preparing, and demonstrating
Company's Software products; and providing additional
support to Sales Account Executives to move
the sales cycle along.
As a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, the candidate
will be responsible for providing PRE-SALES
technical / functional support to prospective
customers while ensuring customer satisfaction
with minimal supervision. With a proven track
record of successful sales support activity,
the Senior Sales Engineer will present and articulate
the Company's Software product features and
value, product future direction and the overall
Company Software solution. He/she will work
with Sales Account Executives to qualify opportunities
and convert leads into successful deals. The
Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will also work with
Sales Account Executives to develop and manage
reference sites through high quality technical
and professional client relationships. He/She
will act as a technical resource for less experienced
Sales Account Executives and Pre-Sales Consultants.
With direct feedback from the field, the Senior
PRe-Sales Engineer will work with Sales Account
Executives and the marketing team to develop
and deliver high quality standard presentations
and demonstrations.
The preferred candidate will have experience
with developing applications and the system
development life cycle in a project management,
consulting, pre-sales or similar role, and be
fully conversant with and experienced in at
least one recognized sales methodology, ideally
Solution Selling©.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors Degree required (technical major
desirable); Masters Degree a plus.
-Minimum 5 years of either software development
experience (developer, system analyst, technical
project management) or 3+ years experience with
successful software pre-sales support
-Ability to present and establish value of the
Company;s foundation and business proposition
for large groups and executives
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Must be customer focused and have the ability
to manage and resolve solutions to complex technical
issues
-Ability to travel 50% throughout North America
as required
-Ensure software proposal meets customer business
requirements
-Proven ability to gain cooperation of others,
proven leadership skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills,
outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills,
and ability to interface to senior levels of
an organization is required.
-Highly motivated, hands on personality.
-Ability to multitask and work independently
toward stated business goals.
