Job Description:
$90-$100K

Create and test custom applications, design/redesign applications based on customer requirements, and implement best practices for the full product life cycle from design to production/ maintenance. Perform maintenance on existing applications in a UNIX environment.

Minimum Requirements:
-5+ years development/programming experience on complex business systems using one or more of the following major languages: C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Lisp, Smalltalk.
-2+ years Java experience a must.
-Advanced SQL experience with at least one relational database (Oracle preferred).
-Experience developing on UNIX and/or Linux and with Windows desktop environments/applications.
-Familiarity with software "best practices" including build systems/version control.
-Ability to design/build new applications from the ground up.
-Strong project management skills/accountability to handle multiple projects/meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
-Ability to solve complex problems; willingness to maintain/support existing programs.
-Team player with strong communications skills.
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred experience:
- Oracle or other major relational database programming experience (PL/SQL).
-HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Oracle Application Server, JBoss, Tomcat, Spring Framework, Axis, Oracle Workflow, Tapestry.
-Experience moving legacy applications to Java environments and J2EE.
-Knowledge of at least one "scripting" language such as Perl, Python or Ruby.
-Knowledge of print languages/document and/or remittance processing a plus.
