Responsible for support and implementation of UNIX systems, focusing on operating systems and infrastructure integration. Perform technical needs assessments, architecture/system recommendations, and implement server based solutions to ensure the Unix group provides a framework to meet business technology needs. Key components are systems hardware, operating systems, and software. Ongoing operational support includes all aspects of system administration, system monitoring, system backups, system controls and documentation. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure technologies.

Qualifications:
-BS degree or equivalent experience; technical certifications highly desired.
-5+ years of experience with distributed systems management on Sun Solaris and AIX within an enterprise-wide disparate operating environment. Linux experience also desirable.
-Familiarity with enterprise redundant storage methodologies including local hardware and software based RAID implementations (Including ZFS, JFS2) as well as SAN and NAS based storage.
-Ability to automate systems management processes quickly and efficiently.
-Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
-Strong team player with a flexible and “can do” attitude.
-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Visio expertise a plus.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
-Able to perform in a regulated environment, under structured change and compliance controls.
-Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
-Strong project management skills.
-Ability to be available to work at nights and on weekends, as required
